Abstract

The present Regulations enforce the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (S.C. 1997, c. 9). In particular, the Regulations outline licensing processes by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for new uranium mines and mills proceeding progressively through site preparation and construction, operating, decommissioning, and abandonment (or release from licensing) phases. The text consists of 17 sections.
