Abstract

This law provides that the Minister of Trade and Industry shall upon satisfaction that any goods or services made the subject of unfair trade practices, declare by legal or public notices such goods or services as to be subject to price control and issue orders fixing the maximum prices at which such declared articles shall sold by manufacturers, importers, wholesalers or retailers, or notify the formula whereby the prices of the subject articles shall be computed. The law providers that no dealer shall buy up, hoard, divert from normal trade channels or in any other way withhold any goods from normal use or consumption, or engage in an unfair trade practice, or sale any declare article at a price exceeding that fixed by the minister. The minister is authorized in cases where the maximum selling price of any goods or services cannot be ascertained, to fix said maximum price. Officers authorized by the minister may at reasonable times enter into premises where goods are sold or services rendered to inspect the compliance with the provisions of the law.
