Abstract The purpose of the present Law is to inform the public of environmental issues both by means of allowing free access to relevant data kept by competent authorities and by publication of such data. The text consists of 15 articles dealing with definition of terms, competent authorities, free access to environment information, duty to report and exceptions to it, legal aid, publication of environment data, and establishment of an environment data register.
