The Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Journal.
Abstract

This Regulation defines maximum residue limits of pesticides in food of animal and plant origin. It also defines the procedures and principles of implementation related to residue limits of pesticides. The Regulation covers residue limits of pesticides in fresh, processed or composite food of animal and plant origin. The products other than food such as plant propagation materials are not coved by this Regulation. The Regulation further encloses provisions on sampling and analysis methods.
