Abstract This Regulation aims at determining terms and conditions of production, processing, storage, handling, packaging, marketing, sampling of and analysis methods in a hygienic and technically appropriate manner. This Regulation shall apply to olive oil and olive-residue oil. This Regulation sets forth provisions on product specifications, additives, flavorings, extraction, contaminants, pesticide residues, hygiene requirements, nutrition and health requirements. This Regulation was drafted in line with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 29/2012 of 13 January 2012 on marketing standards for olive oil.
