A person shall not, without a licence issued by the States, keep or release a non-indigenous tree pest or a tree pest that has been subject to genetic manipulation or engage in any activity involving genetic manipulation of a plant pest. Other control measures include examination, sampling and marking by an inspector and the imposition by an inspector of remedial and precautionary measures.
