Abstract

The present Regulation enacts the Wildlife Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to trapping of wild animals. The text – consisting of 13 sections – deals with the following matters: commencement and termination of fur bearing animal season, restriction of trapping and shooting, mandatory training for first time trappers, prohibited trapping areas, prohibited equipment and activities, inspection of devices, use of snares, registered trapline permits and open trapping area licences.
