Abstract

These Regulations amend the Timber (Levy and Mill Licensing) Regulations by inserting various new regulations and definitions. The new Regulations: require an annual harvesting plan to be prepared in accordance with the code of logging practice by large commercial felling enterprises; indicate areas where felling of timber is prohibited; require person who fells timber to be supplied for milling to a licensed mill to construct roads; prohibit various other activities related to timber felling and the wasting of timber; and provide rules for the decommissioning of log ponds;
