Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Foodstuff and Articles of Daily Use Act in its version of 9 September 1997 (BGBl. I p. 2296). Article 1 establishes that the competent Ministry is entrusted with the execution of the above-mentioned Act. The Act consists of 15 articles as follows: Competent authority (1); Sampling and analysis facilities (2); Technical competence (3); Persons entrusted with inspection (4); Implementation of provisions on inspection (5); Duty to self-control (6); Provisions for single cases (7); Plants and part of plants (8); Public warning (9); Admission of private experts to examine samples (10); Examination of samples in general (11); Penalties (12); Empowerment (13); Gender equalization (14); Entry into force (15).
