Abstract The present Ordinance implements article 42 of the Federal Nature Protection Act of 25 March 2002 (BGBl. I p. 1193). In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the authorization of exceptions concerning protection measures for specially protected animal and plant species. Article 1 authorizes the hunting of cormorants taking into account the considerable damage they inflict on fish stocks. The text consists of 8 articles.
