Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Animal Breeding Act of 22 March 1994 (BGBl. S. 601). In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to animal breeding issues. The text consists of 17 articles as follows: Competences (1); Determination of performance criteria (2); Breeding use of male animals (3); Request for insemination authorization (4); Issue of insemination authorization (5); Obligation to notify of insemination institutions (6); Inseminations for official examinations (7); Records of production, storage and supply of semen (8); Delivery and use of semen (9); Production of semen outside collection centres (10); Marking of female animals (11); Activities of designated veterinaries (12); Requirements for the establishment and operation of an embryo transfer station (13); Offering and delivering of embryos (14); Registration (15); Delivery and transfer of embryos (16); Penalties (16a); Entry into force (17). Two Annexes are enclosed.
