Part II of the Regulations concerns the creation of Institutional Biosafety Committees and the definition of related functions, including: reviewing of proposals for contained use, confined field trials and commercial release of Genetic Modified Organisms (GMO); reviewing of risk assessment and proposing risk management measures. Part III concerns general provisions applicable to the issuance of permits and applications, including: request of additional information; new information identifying actual risks after the grant of a permit. Part IV concerns accreditation of institutions and certification of facilities, including certification of Biosafety containment Facility.
