Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Animal Health Act, the Commission Decision 2003/422/EC of 26 May 2003 approving an African swine fever diagnostic manual and the Commission Decision 2002/106/EC of 1 February 2002 approving a Diagnostic Manual establishing diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for evaluation of the laboratory tests for the confirmation of classical swine fever. The text consists of 5 articles and 1 Annex. In particular, the present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the monitoring on behalf of the federal states (Laender) in view of the virus of classical and African swine fever in wild and domestic pigs.
