Abstract

The Minster may, after consultation with the Sugar Industry Control Board, use the Sugar (Industry Development) Fund established under section 66 of the Sugar Industry Act for the following purposes: (a) price stabilization assistance to cane farmers; (b) sugarcane rehabilitation; (c) purchase of specialized equipment for sugar industry projects; (d) establishment and funding of the Sugar Industry Research and Development Institute; (e) performance of any other functions prescribed by the Sugar Industry Act.
