Abstract

The present Regulations enact section 146 of the Environment Act. The Regulations apply to new storage tank systems that are to be altered. The text – consisting of 16 sections – deals with the following matters: hazardous substances, petroleum products in underground storage tanks, petroleum products in aboveground storage tanks, hazardous substances in underground storage tanks, hazardous substances in aboveground storage tanks, removal of storage tank systems, public registers, permits, heating fuel records, continuous leakage detection, maintenance of records, leak test and fees. One Schedule completes the Regulations.
