Abstract The purpose of this Act is to develop and promote indigenous renewable energy sources as an alternative to fossil fuel generated power, to enhance energy security and to promote energy efficiency. Renewable energy resources shall be sources of kinetic or thermal energy stemming from either solar or geothermal activity, biomass energy, hydro energy, solar energy and wind energy.
