Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2007.
Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the control of smog in the Canton Zurich. Article 1 establishes that in the fight against excessive short-term air pollutant emissions due to poor weather conditions the Building Department ensures – in accordance with the present Ordinance – the coordination with the regions of Bern, Basel and central Switzerland and the neighbouring cantons and cantonal authorities. The text - consisting of 9 articles - deals with the following aspects: coordination, information and intervention, measures concerning information, bans concerning the intervention, limitation of traffic, control, repeal of bans and entry into force.
