Abstract The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the control of smog in the Canton Zurich. Article 1 establishes that in the fight against excessive short-term air pollutant emissions due to poor weather conditions the Building Department ensures – in accordance with the present Ordinance – the coordination with the regions of Bern, Basel and central Switzerland and the neighbouring cantons and cantonal authorities.
