Abstract

This Order designates an area as a marine conservation zone (the Skerries Bank and Surrounds Marine Conservation Zone). The area designated is defined in article 3 and Schedule 1. The Order defines: the conservation objective, i.e. protection or enhancement of favourable condition of habitat and marine fauna; and the protected features of that Zone, which include intertidal and subtidal sands, rock and sediment and Spiny lobster.
