Abstract

These Regulations add scallops and queens to the list of shellfish in section 1(1) of the Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967. This addition enables several or regulated fisheries for these species to be established by order on the sea shore and in the seas adjacent to Great Britain. Section 1(1) of the Act grants power to the appropriate Minister to make conservation and management orders.
