It implements for Scotland Council Regulation (EC) No. 21/2004. The Order, among other things, provides for the manner of identification, the removal or replacement of identification marks on animals, requires every keeper of animals to keep an up-to-date holding register and an annual inventory, requires a movement document to accompany every animal when it moves between holdings, provides for traceability systems at a market; and provides for the approval by the Scottish Ministers of identification devices.
