The Regulations, among other things: authorization and regulation of the marketing of seed potatoes for test and trial purposes; ensure that packages and containers must be new or be cleaned and disinfected, in accordance with Article 11(1) of Council Directive 2002/56/EC; amend the regulation concerning genetically modified seed potatoes to allow for the introduction of Commission Decision 2004/842, Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003, and Part C of Directive 2001/18; amend the principal Regulations so that labelling requirements take account of test and trial seed potatoes.
