These Regulations enter into force on 1 October 2014.
Abstract

The objective of these Regulations, made under section 61 of the Seafood Safety Act 2003, is to exempt from the licensing requirements under the Seafood Safety Act 2003 certain persons conducting a seafood business in relation to the sale of live yabbies. For instance, they establish that a person conducting, or proposing to conduct, a seafood business in relation to the sale of live yabbies may apply to the Authority for an exemption from the operation of Part 3 of the Act. An application made under subregulation (1) must be in the form approved by the Authority.
