Abstract This Act makes amendments in the Principal Act regarding the application for a prospecting permit; application for an exploration or a mining licence, or a sponsorship certificate, and requirements for granting the licence. According to this Amendment Act, only companies incorporated in the Cook Islands and registered under the Companies Act 2017 or any Cook Islands state enterprise may apply for an exploration or a mining licence or a sponsorship certificate.
