Abstract

These Regulations make provision for monitoring by means of satellite devices of commercial fishing boats that are: (a) in any waters that are inside the seaward limits of the territorial sea of Jersey; and (b) measures 12 metres or more in overall length. Satellite-tracking and automatic identification devices to are to be installed on British and European Community boats in accordance with provisions of Part 2. The Regulations also concern information that shall be transmitted, use and maintenance of tracking devices and satellite-tracking devices on third country fishing boats.
