Abstract

These Regulations give effect to the provisions of Council Regulation (EU) 2018/2025 (the "Deep Sea Quota Regulation") fixing for 2019 and 2020 the annual fishing opportunities available to Community fishing vessels for stocks of deep-sea species in Community waters and in certain non-Community waters where catch limitations are required, and the specific conditions under which such fishing opportunities may be used. The master of - (a) an Irish sea-fishing boat wherever it may be, or (b) a sea-fishing boat in the exclusive fishing limits of the State shall comply with the requirements imposed by the Deep Sea Quota Regulation in respect of fishing vessels and masters of such vessels.
