Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 13 of the Sea Fisheries Act, implement provisions of the Act with respect to the licensing of fishing vessels. They also require every vessel intended for fishing to be registered with the Federal Ministry of Transport and require vessels first to be licensed before they are transferred. Specific requirements are set out for fishing vessels engaged in shrimp trawling.
