Abstract These Regulations provide powers to inspectors to carry out inspections in the framework of a survey to detect the presence of salmonella in broiler flocks in Member States in accordance with Commission Decision 2005/636/EC. The Secretary of State shall be the competent authority for purposes of the Commission Decision. Occupiers or persons in charge of a facility used for the rearing or keeping of broiler chickens must supply information to the Secretary of State to enable him or her to carry out a selection of facilities for purposes of the survey.
