Abstract This Regulation implements the Safety Administration Regulation on Genetic engineering in the field of agriculture. It follows closely the provisions of the principal (general) Regulation. Article 3 defines the application sphere of this Regulation. "Agricultural organism" includes plants and animals related to agricultural production, plant-related micro-organisms, veterinary micro-organisms, aquatic animals and plants. Genetic material shall be divided into safety classes in accordance with article 6. This Regulation is completed by 7 Schedules: Safety Assessment of Plant Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (I); Safety Assessment of Animal Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (II); Safety Assessment of Plant-Related Micro-organism's Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (III); Safety Assessment of Veterinary Micro-organism's Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (IV); Safety Assessment of Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products Acquired from Aquatic Animal and Plant (V); Safety Control Measures of Agricultural Biological Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (VI); Safety Assessment of Agricultural Biological Genetic Engineered Organism and Its Products (VII).
