The present Law implements and complete the Federal Soil Protection Act of 17 March 1998 (BGBl. I p. 502). The text consists of 17 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Soil information system (II); Special provisions, data protection and data transmission, costs (III); Competent authorities, inspection, penalties (IV).
