Abstract These Rules, based on the provisions of the Slovenian Forest Act, provide for the forest management plan for Boč forest management unit for the period 2012–2021. The Boč forest management unit, measuring 4,197.83 ha, is located in the Maribor forest management area, in the municipalities of Makola and Poljčane, or in the cadastral municipalities of Dežno, Jelovec, Stari grad, Poljčane, Studenice and Hrastovec (ownership both private and public). These provisions are established on the basis of condition of forests, an analysis of past management, legality of forest development and lessons learned in monitoring over the development of forests in forest management unit Boč (production functions, ecological functions, social functions).
