After providing for some definitions for the interpretation of the text, the regulations set a prohibition, as from 1 January 2021, of placing on the market single-use plastic and products made from oxo-degradable plastic (listed in Part A of the Schedule) and, as from 3 July 2024, the placing on the market of the single-use plastic products (listed in Part B of the Schedule) that have caps and lids made of plastic. The regulations further provide for offences against the above and relevant penalties.
