This Resolution enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Resolution creates the Technical-Scientific Commission on Climate Change (CTCMC), a consultation and technical advisory body, aimed to support the prevention, adaptation and mitigation of Climate Change. CTCMC is responsible for: a) advising the Government on mitigation management measures relating to the environmental and social effects of extreme weather events, as well as human action with a negative impact on the environment; b) drawing up the current situation and risks and defining a programme of focused thematic and territorial actions; c) identifying priority intervention areas; d) evaluating the efficiency of the intervening institutions in the prevention, mitigation and monitoring of the negative impacts of climatic phenomena and human action on the environment; e) assessing policies, strategies and other instruments aimed to respond to the impacts of climate change and human action; f) advising on technical and scientific solutions to increase the efficiency of prevention and response to extreme events, with a view to creating greater human, infrastructure and ecosystem resilience; g) monitoring progress in implementing action plans to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change; h) analysing potential risk scenarios of extreme events; i) advising on actions to improve and strengthen inter-institutional coordination with all entities in preventing and responding to the impact of the effects of climate change and climate change and harmful action of man on the environment, etc.
