Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Administration for Conservation Areas (ANAC) aimed to perform the following activities: ensure the implementation of biodiversity conservation policies and manage conservation areas; promote biodiversity conservation and ensure the management of wildlife throughout the national territory; ensure the conservation of biodiversity, landscapes and associated heritage, through the National System of Conservation Areas; define the mechanisms for administration and sustainable use of conservation areas; and establish infrastructures in conservation areas for biodiversity management and economic activities in order to guarantee their self-sufficiency.
