Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the Socio-Cultural Research Institution (ARPAC). ARPAC's responsibilities are: a) research, document, preserve, manage and disseminate Mozambican Cultural Heritage, in accordance with national and international standards; b) promote the creation of the cultural heritage documentary collection through new communication and information technologies for the knowledge of the general public, both national and international; c) promote the heritage and culture education of Mozambicans in order to reinforce their cultural identity; d) organize specialized documentation centers and encourage all actions and initiatives that involve bibliographic, iconographic, audio-visual, archaeological research and the entire collection on Mozambican cultural heritage; e) carry out an inventory of the assets that make up the national cultural heritage; f) establish exchange relations with similar national and foreign institutions, with a view to achieving their cultural, historical and scientific objectives; and g) participate in the preparation of proposals for cultural assets to be included in the national list of cultural heritage and proposals for cultural assets to be included in the lists proposed for world heritage.
