Abstract

These Regulations make amendments to the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2011 with respect to various matters including: definitions, the requirement that participants generating heat from waste must use only municipal waste, eligibility criteria for plants which generate heat using ground source heat pumps plants which are air source heat pumps and CHP systems which generate heat and electricity from biomass, payment of grants from public funds for the purchase of plant or equipment used to produce biomethane and tariffs and expenditure for renewable heat production.
