Abstract

These Regulations amend the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2011 with respect to a variety of matters including: criteria for payment of incentives; eligible installations generating heat from solid biomass; Renewable Heat Incentive emission certificates; metering of plants; accreditation; payment in case of change in location of accredited Renewable Heat Incentive installations; use of certain type of fuel in biomass installations; periodic support payments for accredited Renewable Heat Incentive installations; calculation of heat loss in certain circumstances; enforcement; and content of certificates. A Renewable Heat Incentive emission certificate must be issued by a testing laboratory.
