The plan is composed by 6 parts specifying all the activities to be performed in the aforementioned area, such as: water captation for agricultural, domestic and other purposes; water pollution control in order to preserve the water quality for human consumption, etc. The aim of this Decree is to guarantee at short-term (until 2006) the water quality of the Mira River from the source up to Casal de D. Soeiro, and long-term (until 2020) also in the streams of: Luzianes/Corte Brique, Perna Seca and Torgal.
