The Regulations prescribe quality classes and concern, among other things, quality standards, packing and marking of products. Quality requirements also concern treatment with chemicals and content of biological or chemical contaminant. The standards shall be complied with at the packhouse stage or upon arrival in the municipal markets or any similar setting and/or conveyance. No consignment of litchis classified as "Class 1 ", "Class 2" or "Lowest Class" shall contain any foreign matter in excess of the tolerance as set out in Table 1.
