Abstract

These Regulations of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries prohibit the sale of citrus fruit produced in or imported into South Africa and placed on the domestic market (other than imported citrus fruit meeting specified requirements), that do not meet quality standards as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations also: define quality classes of citrus fruit and prescribe quality standards for each class; prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling (including traceability) of citrus fruit and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection of citrus fruit.
