Abstract

These Regulations of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries prescribe standards and requirements regarding bananas placed on the market in South Africa. The Regulations prescribe quality classes and concern, among other things, quality standards, packing and marking of products. No persons shall place on the market bananas that are not conform to classes and standards as set out in these Regulations. The Regulations also concern inspection and sampling of consignments. The Annexes specify permissible cultivars and quality standards.
