Abstract

These Regulations prohibit the sale on the domestic market of edible ices (as defined in classes by these Regulations), whether imported or produced in South Africa, that do not meet quality standards as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations define classes of edible ices and prescribe quality standards for each class. They also prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling (including traceability) of edible ices and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection of edible ices. Table 1 sets out methods of analysis.
