Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 15(1) of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, specify standards for preservatives and antioxidants. They also prohibit sale of food with excessive levels of preservatives and antioxidants, and sale, use or advertisement of antioxidants or preservatives for foodstuffs which are not specified in Annex A or B to these Regulations and specify standards for smoke solutions for the smoking of food.
