Abstract

These Regulations declare, for purposes of section 15 of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, shellfish and shellfish products that contain excessive levels of biotoxins to be contaminated, impure, or decayed. The Regulations specify biotoxins with corresponding limits that shall be measured by the methods prescribed under the Schedule to these Regulations or any equivalent accredited method. “Shellfish” shall include all bivalve mollusks and marine gastropods but not crustacea
