The Regulations prohibit export of such fruit without a permit and set out requirements relating to an application for a permit. Each consignment shall be inspected by an inspector, who shall approve or reject the consignment. The Regulations also provide for appeal against a direction or decision of an inspector, define offences and provide a list of countries in respect of which the prohibition does not apply.
