These Regulations enter into force on 25 July 1997.
Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation is to improve the work of flood control and flood fighting, to ensure the safety of the people’s life and property and to carry out economic construction smoothly. The Regulations consist of 48 articles divided into 10 Chapters: General provisions (I); Flood control organizations (II); Getting prepared for flood control (III); Flood prevention in urban areas(IV); Flood control and emergency rescue (V); Follow-up work (VI); Expenses for flood control (VII); Rewards (VIII); Legal liabilities (IX); Supplementary provisions (X).
