Abstract

These Regulations, issued in pursuance to article 4 (2) (c) and (d) of the Chemical Substances Law no. 119 of 2020, provide for harmonising Cyprus Legislation with the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1701 amending Annexes I and V to Regulation (EU) No. 649/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the export and import of hazardous chemicals (PIC Regulation). The Regulations concern: offences and penalties for anyone importing or exporting a chemical products or mixture in violation of the provisions of the EU Regulation; violations and impositions of administrative fines.
