Abstract

These Regulations, in compliance with the provisions of article 14 of the Animal Health Law, no. 109/I of 2001 in its consolidated version, provide for implementation of the following European Acts, entitled: Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council on transmissible animal diseases and amending and repealing certain acts in the field of animal health; Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products. The Regulations concerns: eggs for human consumptions; bioprophylaxis; egg production holding; meat holding; production poultry; application for farm registration and allocation of a distinctive number; documents to be submitted by the operator to the competent authority, including: a biosecurity plan, a map of the premises; inspection and control of holdings; conditions for registration of organic production; hygienic provisions in poultry farms, including: a) measures concerning animal health and welfare, b) measures to control contamination of air, soil, water, animal feed and veterinary products, c) measures to waste handling and disposal, d) monitoring and control of zoonotic diseases and zoonotic agents; cleanliness and disinfection of premises; use of clean and potable water to avoid contaminations; record keeping.
