The amendments concern: harmonisation with the Executive Directive (EU) 2022/905 of the Commission, amending Directives 2003/90/EC and 2003/91/EC regarding the protocols for the examination of certain varieties of agricultural plants and horticultural species; harmonisation of Cyprus Legislation with the Executive Directive (EU) 2022/1648 of the Commission amending Directive 2003/91/EC concerning the derogation for organic varieties of horticultural species suitable for organic production. Further amendments concern: replacement of a paragraph concerning examination for the acceptance of varieties of agricultural species; guidelines for conducting tests and official examination for the acceptance of varieties of vegetable species; biological varieties suitable for organic production, including: carrots; specific provisions on tests for distinctness, uniformity and stability of organic varieties of vegetables suitable for organic production.
