The amendments concern: partial harmonisation with the Executive Directive (EU) 2022/905 of the Commission, amending Directives 2003/91/EC regarding the protocols for the examination of certain varieties of agricultural plants and horticultural species; harmonisation with the Executive Directive (EU) 2022/1647 of Commission, amending Directive 2003/90/EC regarding a derogation for organic varieties of agricultural plant species suitable for organic production. Further amendments concern: replacement of a paragraph concerning examination for the acceptance of varieties of agricultural species; definition of specific requirements the species must comply with; biological varieties suitable for organic production, including: barley, maize, rye, common wheat; replacement of Annexes containing guidelines for tests for stability of biological varieties.
