Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 15 of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, specify maximum levels of benzene in beverages for human consumption including natural mineral water and bottled water. Any beverages containing more than the maximum levels shall be considered impure or contaminated for purposes of the Act. The Regulations also specify methanol levels for liquors.
